Thoughts
  • Best Memory- "Believe it or not, I think the pancake breakfast at Coach Traughber's house is one of my favorite memories. I loved to coach you guys at practice and to see you compete at the meets, but for me it was really neat to be a part of the great smoothie-making-contest at Coach's when (as you remember) Potter, OC, and Boyle made some fantastic smoothies. The great thing was that it was a real nice morning for all the guys that worked so are hard to train over the summer, and the smoothie contest really was the cherry on top."
  • Greatest Personal Achievement-  "This is a hard one for me because I feel that I accomplished so much (I'm kidding of course . . . I'm not that arrogant). I think one of the things I am most proud of, in all seriousness, is becoming known as the Milkman by being able to sell chocolate milk after practices at school. It really made me feel like I had something to contribute to our team and coaching staff. Last year was a record year for sales, and I fully expect Coach Garwitz and the other coaches to keep the milk flowing this season!"
  • "Coach Leeman was always willing to do what was needed to help the team. He will always be remembered as the first milkman in team history"- fellow coach, Coach Traughber
Bio
Coach Leeman had many names in his short time with the program: CCSpartan2, B-rad, Steamin Leeman, Lame Duck, and of course The Milk Man. Despite having several names, Coach Leeman can be described in one word: unique. It was this uniqueness that everyone loved. He was fun-loving and full-of-life all the time. He got along extremely well with every single runner. His presence at practice and meets always kept the atmosphere lose and fun. But coach also knew how to get down to business and help runners improve. You’d hear a “great job” and get a high five from him every day. Race day was never complete without him yelling, “Get to the line! Do it now!” in his Arnold voice. On the track he was a master of the 200 split. The Milk Man completely revolutionized the post-practice chocolate milk business. He had a passion for his job and it showed. He was always willing to bypass the one milk per person rule and sell you an extra milk if you really wanted it. He had a passion for his job, both as a Coach and as the Milk Man, and it showed.

There will never be another one like you, Milk Man. Congratulations and welcome to the Milk Table Hall of Fame.
