"Real" Blog Post

The shirts have arrived! Today we saw that latest Desmet fashion trend in action. The brand new winter training shirts not only are stylish and fly but very XC as well. Those that can be seen sporting these shirts were the ones putting in the miles this winter and you will notice how several of the top guys rock these new treads. Make sure you younger guys put in the miles this summer for the summer training shirt!

Today the group was split again with the majority of guys doing a long run. For us on the track we had an awesome workout. But before the workout could begin there were some “real” strides to be done. These “real” strides compared to regular strides were excellent in warming us up and getting us in gear for a great workout. Highlights during the run included a guest appearance by Lance Armstrong.

Best Dressed Award: Jack Husmann wins today’s award with a very simple yet stylish shorts with a stripe matching the shirt. Additionally we would like to point out that Jack is now the proud owner of a pair of running shorts, something that some members of the team have yet to figure out. Soccer, basketball, LAX, Gym shorts ≠ running shorts. For more information on this topic please ask coach to explain the down side of running in boxers.

    also to go with zach's comment about running shorts, it goes with out question; the shorter and more colorful, the better

    those shirts look fly. I believe Ryan Hormberg ran in boxers at practice one day. I think he had running shorts on underneath but he may not have. I think it would be a good outfit if someone ran in boxers with running shorts or briefs under the boxers.
