Splash!

Continuing the week of everyone doing different stuff, today was probably the craziest day. Some people were at a meet, others were running 400s, and still others were doing AE runs. The highlight of the run was that there was actually water. Unlike yesterday, Coach Leeman left the water out for all the runners.

A recap of the Webster JV Meet:
The meet began with the 4 x 8 team featuring three freshmen and a sophomore, Frazzetta, Piatchek, LaFever, and Reed, started the meet with a strong #6 place finish. Next, was a heated competition in the 1600 Meter between M. Smith, M. Beers, and myself with each of us PRing by at least 8 seconds. J. Waller, S. Hamilton, and J. Potter, who PRed by 12 seconds, all ran solid races in the 800 meter. Finally, came the exciting 3200 Meter with C. Sullivan, M. Hillmer, and P. Callahan. Everyone listened to Coach’s advice, competed hard, and ran extremely well.

Today, OC turned 18. Yes, 18; he can now legally be tried as an adult. A solid pack of guys sang "Happy Birthday" to him while on the way to Conway. The only thing to top this birthday gift was the surprise that Boyle came up with to celebrate the big day. To enact his plan, we dumped the water on him in true Gatorade fashion, even getting him with some ice. The grin on his face afterwards was great. It really made for a cool birthday.

Quote of the Day: "Walk with me"- Boyle before telling me the plan. He is always scheming.
